A 1-Year Diploma in Internet of Things (IoT) integrates hardware engineering, software development, data networking, and cloud computing. Throughout two semesters, the program guides students from basic electronics to the creation of fully automated, enterprise-level connected systems.

Embedded Programming Languages: You will learn to write optimized, low-latency code in Embedded C and C++ focusing on hardware memory management, interrupt handling, and timer configurations.

Single-Board Computers & Linux OS: This part includes setting up Raspberry Pi, navigating Linux command-line interfaces (CLI), configuring headless boot setups, and executing Python scripts for hardware interaction.

Networking & Communication Protocols: You will master both short and long-range connectivity protocols, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Zigbee, LoRaWAN, and Cellular (4G/5G/NB-IoT). You will gain knowledge in device provisioning, twin management, and executing remote firmware updates over-the-air (OTA).

Data Storage & Databases: This section covers the storage of both structured and unstructured sensor telemetry through time-series and NoSQL databases (InfluxDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Firebase) to facilitate real-time querying.

Dashboards & Real-Time Visualization: You will learn to create interactive control panels using tools like Grafana, Node-RED, or custom web/mobile dashboards to monitor sensor data and initiate automated alerts.

Edge Computing & Artificial Intelligence (AIoT): This part involves deploying lightweight Machine Learning models (TensorFlow Lite, Edge Impulse) directly onto microcontrollers for local image processing, anomaly detection, and voice recognition, minimizing reliance on cloud latency.

IoT Security & Cryptography: You will implement comprehensive security protocols, including SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission, X.509 certificate authentication, secure bootloader configurations, and strategies to protect against hardware tampering.

Industrial IoT (IIoT) & Smart Automation: This module examines industrial communication standards (Modbus, OPC UA) and the integration with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to enhance factory automation and predictive maintenance.

Real-World Capstone Project: You will engage in designing, constructing, and deploying a fully functional end-to-end IoT product—such as an automated smart home hub, a smart agriculture soil-monitoring node, or an asset tracking system—covering everything from hardware schematic design to final cloud telemetry.
